Canadians Love Glamping for Camping

What is glamping? Is the hype worth it?

Camping is a popular Canadian pastime during different seasons. It allows Canadians to experience the wonderful outback and nature around them. But old ideas of camping are becoming out of date and campers are looking for a more glamorous experience.

This glamorous experience that keeps with the natural experience of camping is what Canadians are starting to love. Glamping is its name, the basics of it are making camping more glamorous by using a variety of amenities and even resort-style resources that provide glampers with a more luxurious camping experience.

How can you glamp?

Canadians are falling in love with the different stages of glamping you can have. You can start with things like yurts and domes or go all the way up to eco-pods. The variety available is something Canadians love because it makes the glamping experience truly unique. Let’s examine a couple to show why people cross country are using them more to experience nature.

Types of Glamping

Starting with Yurts and Domes, these are covered tent-like shelters for people to use while glamping. They provide an elevated experience while keeping true to traditional camping. People are loving them because they provide the tent feel but with an elevated experience. They are bigger, taller, provide better heat insulation, are fully furnished, and are readily accessible at most camping sites. They keep you perfectly in the nature of your camping experience while making it feel like home.

There are also treehouses that provide luxurious camping high within the trees. It deeply connects you with nature and gives you an often aesthetically pleasing hut to experience your camping trip in. Visitors often regard them as dreamy and the perfect getaway for glamping.

The most popular form of glamping has been camper vans and RVs. They win because of their ability to move, their nostalgia, and the amenities you can add onto them. RVs provide their users with a unique movability that other forms of glamping do not, they allow you to change where you are staying as frequently as you want. Another perk about RVs and camper vans is that they are as individual as you want them to be, the design and amenities inside of them are truly up to you. You can add plumbing, showers, kitchens, laundry facilities, and even heating. All to provide you with the most comfortable experience.

Not only do RVs provide this individual and comforting experience, but another thing Canadians love about them is their nostalgia. For many Canadians, they have seen RV camping in many movies and shows or even did it in their childhood. This brings back strong memories of trips across different campgrounds that Canadians are loving to relive in their adult lives. Also, they are great for families with smaller kids who don’t feel as safe in traditional tents with their young ones.

What’s so great about glamping?

All of these great amenities coming out is what is making Canadians love glamping and that love is just going to continue to grow. More and more Canadians are taking the leap and trying a more glamorous form of camping and sticking with it.

Three other main reasons why Canadians are switching to glamping that work with the previous mentions are comfort, convivence, and aesthetics. These are more superficial but matter significantly when choosing what should be a fun and relaxing getaway.

  1. Comfort. There is no denying that the purpose of glamping is to make people feel more comfortable when doing their nature excursions. It provides travelers with amenities that tent camping simply just cannot provide. It also makes camping more accessible to those who can’t tent camp because of individual needs. Overall, it makes the experience homely and elevates the time to make it completely enjoyable. No need to worry about getting bored or getting tired of sleeping uncomfortably.
  2. Convenience. Glamping is much more convenient for many Canadians. You don’t have to worry about packing up a trunk or trailer full of tents, tools, tarps, and other necessities you would need for tent camping. You can just pack up your clothes, food, and any other things you want for your escape. This makes packing a lot lighter, and a lot less stressful for people. Also, you don’t have to do any set-up time when you get to your site. The hard work is done for you before you even arrive isn’t that lovely. You get the convenience of being able to jump straight into your activities.
  3. Aesthetics. Glamping is meant to make the experience of nature more glamorous and pleasing. Therefore, it raises the aesthetics of nature and draws in the interest of younger individuals. People are more likely to stay somewhere they feel looks appealing; we shop with our eyes first. So, when they see these beautiful places to stay, they are more likely to stay there than in a drabby tent. When these places are pretty and pleasing you often hear people who come back from them as being relaxing, home-like, and a rejuvenating experience that all need to experience once in their lives.

How can you join the wave?

Glamping is becoming a new societal norm. Where it was once seen as something for girly girls it is becoming more widely accepted as our needs grow and change within society. Not does this form of camping provide you with all the benefits discussed above, but it provides you with an experience you draft and create for yourself. There are no forced guidelines for you to follow. Also, it can be fairly affordable depending on where you book. It won’t break the bank and is totally worth checking out.

Overall, glamping is the new wave, and it is no wonder why Canadians cross-country are loving it. It will make you feel like you are enjoying a luxurious form of nature and honestly who doesn’t want that? Take in all the wonderful benefits mentioned above and seriously consider trying it out for yourself. You won’t regret it!
